At around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday the Oceanside Fire Department responded to a a call of a recreational boat being swept into the surfline near Harbor Beach, according to a press release shared by the fire department.

Lifeguards were able to rescue the four people on board the boat. Authorities say all four patients were evaluated at the scene and released.

No additional injuries were reported.

The recreational boat was secured and towed out of the surfline by Oceanside's Marine Safety Unit.

The Oceanside Fire Department would like to remind beachgoers and boaters to exercise extra caution in the next couple of days as elevated surf conditions and dangerous rip currents are expected through Tuesday.
