SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A local historian has made it his life mission to find and honor every last veteran buried in the Bonaventure Cemetery.
Bob Alhouse, a passionate historian with the Bonaventure Historical Society, has been working on this project for over a year.
He says it all started as a side project to update the list of veterans in the cemetery, but quickly turned into something much bigger.
Alhouse estimates he may have around 4,000 names when the project is complete.
