ATLANTA — Rapper Young Thug changed Sunday plans for many of his fans after he unexpectedly announced a free public concert outside of the Fulton County Courthouse in Atlanta.

The Atlanta rapper, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, announced the short-notice surprise on his X account on Sunday afternoon, giving a little less than three hours notice to meet at 4 p.m. at the steps of the courthouse.

Many people crowded the streets outside and waited for a little more than an hour for Young Thug to show up and perform. When he did, he had the crowd energized and singing along to his music, but also delivered a message to his fans regarding his experience locked up behind bars for several years while facing RICO and gang charges in the long-running YSL RICO trial that took place at the Fu
