LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Oregon State women’s soccer put together a solid performance on the road Sunday but came up just short. The Beavers dropped a 2-1 decision to LMU.

Adele Schwab broke through for her first goal of the season in the 41st minute, converting a scramble in front of the net off a corner kick and freshman Avery Pleiman earned her first collegiate assist on the play.

Despite trailing, OSU continued to press, racking up a 16-15 edge in shots and generating multiple scoring chances.

Goalkeeper Mya Sanchez stood tall in goal, recording five saves, including a spectacular double stop early in the game to keep the Beavers within striking distance.
