A 27-year-old baseball coach was struck by a stray bullet on Sunday morning, September 21, 2025, during a youth tournament at TheRac baseball complex in Katy, Texas. Waller County Emergency Medical Services and the Waller County Sheriff’s Office said deputies first answered a firearms complaint at about 9:50 a.m. The coach suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder, was airlifted to a nearby hospital, and was later released in stable condition.
