(FOX40.COM) — The National Weather Service announced an unsettled weather pattern for the Sacramento area, bringing widespread precipitation with cooler temperatures, breezy winds, and thunderstorms in the mountains.

After months of warm weather, the cloudy and rainy conditions make their way back to the Sacramento region for a couple of days.

On Sunday night, according to the NWS, Sacramento residents can expect an increase in clouds with low temperatures in the low 60s with winds coming from the southwest from five to ten mph, resulting in calm weather in the evening.

FOX40's Meteorologist Riley O' Connor said our chance of spotty showers arriving Monday and temperatures will remain on the cooler side with highs in the 70s.
