BOSTON — In an unsurprising development, the Red Sox and Yankees won’t be playing any matinees during their best-of-three Wild Card Series in New York this week.

Major League Baseball announced that Boston and New York will play Game 1 at 6:08 p.m. ET on Tuesday and Game 2 at the same time the following day. Game 3, if necessary, set for Thursday, is also tentatively scheduled for that time, though that might change based on results around the league and which other games are being played that day.
