India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav has announced a generous gesture following India’s historic Asia Cup 2025 triumph over Pakistan.
Taking to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), the 35-year-old batter revealed that he will donate his entire tournament match fee to the Indian Armed Forces and the families affected by the Pahalgam terror attack.
“I have decided to donate my match fees from this tournament to support our Armed Forces and the families of the victims who suffered from the Pahalgam terror attack. You always remain in my thoughts. Jai Hind,” Suryakumar posted.
Indian players earn ₹4 lakh per match in T20Is, meaning Suryakumar’s donation amounts to ₹28 lakh for the seven matches India played in the Asia Cup.
