Richmond council, administration kick off revamped budget process

Richmond leaders kicked off an earlier and refreshed budget process with an initial meeting last week.

Mayor Danny Avula and Chief Administrative Officer Odie Donald joined city council to review changes to the budget process for fiscal year 2026. The new process is the product of a joint budget taskforce to allow more time for budget development and to increase community engagement, according to a release.
