The proposed roof to the stadium is a very expensive folly.

It's entirely inappropriate for a football stadium that only needs a roof over the spectators, leaving the playing area open to the weather.

No other football stadium in the world has a roof like this, which not only adds to the cost of construction but will be expensive to maintain.

I don't know who came up with the idea, probably someone from the AFL who thinks Hobart is in Antarctica.

Ditch the roof.

They should consider the possibility that they have been significantly overestimated.
