A video that surfaced on social media showed Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chief and Pakistan minister Mohsin Naqvi leaving the stadium in protest after India refused to accept the Asia Cup 2025 trophy and winners’ medals from his hands. Naqvi, who is also the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief, had waited on the podium for the post-match presentation. However, the Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, refused to receive the trophy or medals, requesting that a neutral official hand them over instead. After discussions failed to resolve the situation, Naqvi walked off the stage. Officials were later seen taking the trophy away from the podium as well. The video brought to light the tense and unexpected moment, which brought the post-match ceremony to a halt.
