MEERUT: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped repeatedly by a maulana (cleric) inside a madrassa for several months and impregnated her in Saharanpur. The matter came to light only after the girl complained of abdominal pain and her parents took her to a doctor. The 32-year-old accused has been arrested, said police. The survivor has been studying in the madrassa since April. She told her parents that the cleric sexually assaulted her inside the mosque and at his residence, and threatened to kill her if she resisted or told anyone about the matter.
