The Cheboygan Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual state of the community event on Thursday, Oct. 16.

The event, titled “The State of Cheboygan: Resilient and Stronger Together,” will take place at the Cheboygan Opera House, according to a community announcement.

A networking session with light refreshments will be held from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Cheboygan City Fire Hall. The main program will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Opera House auditorium.

This year’s focus will be on the county’s emergency response services, reflecting on last spring’s ice storm. Attendees will learn about the efforts of emergency responders, available resources for those affected by the storm and future emergency plans.
