Srinagar, Sep 29: Police in central Kashmir’s Srinagar have solved a theft case and recovered gold items worth twelve lakh rupees. The accused, identified as Waseem Ahmad Kaloo, son of Gh. Qadir Kaloo and a resident of Chattabal, has also been arrested, officials said on Monday.

According to a statement issued by police spokesperson, On 21st September 2025, Police Station Nowhatta received a written complaint from Mohammad Yousuf Rather, son of Ab. Gaffar Rather, resident of Wantpora, Rajouri Kadal, to the effect that some unknown persons had broken into his house during his absence, ransacked the house and made away with several gold items, valued in lakhs of Rupees.
