Community Healing Centers will host its 11th annual Serve for Kids fundraiser on Oct. 11 at West Hills Athletic Club in Kalamazoo. The event aims to raise $90,000 to support programs for children and families, according to a community announcement.

Proceeds from Serve for Kids will benefit the Bill Wright Children’s Advocacy Center and the S.T.R.E.E.T. and Niñas del Corazón After School & Summer Programs. The advocacy center provides counseling and advocacy for children who have experienced abuse, while the after-school and summer programs focus on academic success and building positive relationships.

In 2025, the community rallied to raise nearly $90,000 for these efforts, with 95% of funds going directly to the programs.
