SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) -- Spartanburg residents gathered over the weekend for a Walk for Change to protest against gun violence, starting at CC Woodson Field.

The Stop the Violence Coalition organized the event in response to the recent shooting of 17-year-old Zion Jordan, who was killed at his home.

Organizers of the Walk for Change view it as the start of a broader effort to promote peace and support within the community.
