DENVER (KDVR) — Brush School District has closed all its schools Monday after a "suspicious device" was found on one of its campuses.

According to a letter posted on the school website from Superintendent Marsha Cody, the device was discovered late Sunday evening on the Brush Secondary Campus grounds.

The Brush Police and Fire departments searched that campus thoroughly after the discovery, then Thomson Primary School and Beaver Valley Elementary were also searched as a precaution.

"While the initial assessment has been completed, we will not resume normal operations until the device has been examined by specialized experts," Cody said in the letter.
