POSEY CO . – An Indiana State Trooper sustained minor injuries Saturday morning after a semi-truck sideswiped his patrol vehicle while he was conducting a traffic stop on I-64.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:38 a.m. on I-64 Westbound near the 10-mile marker. According to the Indiana State Police, the trooper was standing near the door of a stopped vehicle when a westbound semi failed to yield and sideswiped the patrol car. The impact knocked the trooper to the ground.

Despite his injuries, the trooper was able to return to his vehicle and pursue the semi, which was eventually stopped near the 8-mile marker.

The driver was identified as Kyle Hohman, 36, of Sandoval, Illinois. He was arrested without incident by Sergeant Kylen Compton and transported to the Posey County Jail.
