INDIANAPOLIS -- Monday is World Heart Day, and in 2025, Cardiovascular disease is the world's number one cause of death.

On Monday, Dr. Marc Gerdisch, the chief of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at Franciscan Health, joined the FOX59 Morning News. Gerdisch spoke about the importance of finding a heart failure specialist, his role with the American Heart Association and other insights on World Heart Day.
