The continuing case against Robert Moore, who has been on trial every year since 2021 for a cold case disappearance of 16-year-old Glenna Jean White in 2009 had charges dropped Monday.

The charges were dismissed without prejudice, meaning prosecutors can refile charges at a later date.

In early September, a key piece of evidence in their case is Moore's involuntary manslaughter conviction from 1992, which involved the death of another woman.

The prosecution argued that the similarity between that case and White's disappearance cannot be coincidental.

However, their request to use this information in the current case was rejected by Judge Maureen Sweeney during a hearing.
