LANSING, Mich. — Flags will be at half-staff this week to honor those impacted by the shooting and fire at a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel in Grand Blanc, Michigan, following a directive from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
The shooting happened Sunday morning as hundreds of people attended a church service at the chapel in Grand Blanc Township.
Investigators say at least four have been killed and eight others injured.
The suspect—now identified as 40-year-old Thomas Jacob Sanford, of Burton—allegedly rammed a pickup truck into the church doors and opened fire on worshipers inside.
