CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A lottery ticket purchased at the Wawa at 471 Kempsville Road in Chesapeake is now worth $2 million.

According to the Virginia Lottery, Friday night's Mega Millions drawing had the winning numbers of 4-21-27-33-49, with the Mega Ball number being 21. The ticket bought in Chesapeake was only missing the Mega Ball number, the Virginia Lottery said, which means it was just one number away from winning the jackpot.

The base prize for matching the first five numbers in Mega Millions is $1 million, but with the Multiplier being 2 (a number now randomly assigned with every ticket purchase) the prize was doubled to $2 million.

The person who purchased the ticket has 180 days from Friday — until Wednesday, March 25, 2026 — to claim the prize.
