The Canadian government on Monday officially designated the Bishnoi Gang as a terrorist entity. Minister of Public Safety Gary Anandasangaree made the announcement, stating, “Acts of violence and terror have no place in Canada, especially those that target specific communities to create a climate of fear and intimidation."

Bishnoi Gang meets definition of terrorist group

The statement further noted, "As a now-listed entity, the Bishnoi Gang has met the definition of a ‘terrorist group’ under Canada’s Criminal Code.” Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang are involved in murder, extortion, and arms and drug trafficking operations across India and abroad.
