"KPop Demon Hunters," the streaming sensation that skyrocketed to the top of Netflix's most-watched list this summer, is making its late-night debut.

The singing voices of Huntr/X, the K-pop girl group at the center of the animated film, will perform live on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The performance, which will air at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT on NBC (streaming the next day on Peacock), marks the fictional group's first televised appearance.

"Kpop Demon Hunters" follows three animated K-pop stars − Rumi, Mira and Zoey − as they perform synthy earworms and hide their true demon-slayer identities from fans. Voiced for their musical numbers by Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, some of the group's songs have become real-life streaming successes. In August, "Golden," performed by the cast, hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Their appearance on Fallon, during which they're expected to perform "Golden," represents the first-ever joint live performance of the real-life Huntr/X. In addition to their performance, Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami will sit couchside with the late-night host for an interview.

Their sit-down follows a brief in-theater run for "Demon Hunters," after fans of the now most-watched movie ever on Netflix, according to the streaming service, were clamoring for more.

Grounding the film's success is a growing fascination with the K-pop genre. As streaming services like Spotify hack the artificial barriers separating one culture's hits from another's, American music fans are growing increasingly eager to dabble in international fare. Korean pop music, which boasts a large and loyal fanbase in the U.S., slots into a burgeoning trend alongside genres like reggaeton and Afrobeats.
