OTSEGO COUNTY — A 76-year-old Vanderbilt man died Saturday after a motorcycle crash in Dover Township, according to the Michigan State Police.

Per a Sept.28 news release, troopers from the MSP Gaylord Post responded to Sparr Road near Johnson Crossing Grade at about 12:20 p.m. Sept. 27.

Investigators said a group of motorcycles was traveling eastbound when the driver of one motorcycle veered onto the gravel shoulder. The rider lost control and the motorcycle rolled several times before coming to a stop.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. Troopers said they do not believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.

Otsego County Fire Department and Otsego County EMS assisted at the scene.
