Three police cars were rammed as officers attempted to stop a 'stolen' Nissan on 'cloned plates'.

The grey vehicle, believed to have been stolen in Birmingham, was spotted on the M6 on Sunday afternoon (September 28).

A short chase took place on the northbound carriageway of the busy motorway, which resulted in a 28-year-old man being arrested.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "A man has been arrested after we stopped a vehicle on cloned plates on the M6 yesterday.

"We received a report at 3.40pm that a grey Nissan had been spotted on the M6 northbound between junctions 15 and 16.
