SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Looking at the Sunshine Street Corridor between Kansas Expressway and Glenstone Ave. as you’re driving or walking can give you one picture, but to see the full scope of it at one time, the city of Springfield has a solution.

On September 29 and 30, the city is hosting a design charette as part of the Sunshine Street Corridor Study .

While the corridor is just about three miles long, it includes businesses that attract tourists, driveways of homes, and lots of traffic passing through every day. A design charrette is an event where everyone comes together to simulate different ideas for improvements in real-time.
