The Mesa City Council unanimously approved a five-year contract for industrial plumbing supplies for city parks, recreation and community facilities at their recent council meeting.

The vote passed 7-0. The $1.4 million-per-year contract will be awarded to the highest scored proposals from Best Plumbing Specialties, Inc., Core & Main LP, Sid Tool Co. Inc. dba MSC Industrial Supply Co. and Six Points Hardware.

According to council documents, the contract helps provide necessary items and materials for water and wastewater treatment facilities as well as city parks and facilities. These items include fittings, valves, pipes, backflow devices and more.
