An Aberdeen artist has been commissioned to create an artwork inspired by the Tall Ships Races that took place in the city this year.
Port of Aberdeen invited local artist Clive Ramage to create the piece based around by the four-day maritime celebration held in the Granite City from July 19 to 22.
Ramage, who is self-taught and has been working as an artist since 2008, will produce a special large-scale oil painting that will capture the pride, excitement and spectacle of the event, which drew 50 international ships and more than 400,000 visits to the city.
