Scotland's largest Energy Transition Skills Hub has been opened in Aberdeen today by First Minister John Swinney.
The £10m facility, on the site of a former dairy, includes a welding academy, advanced manufacturing zone and digital training suites.
It should support around 1,000 people into jobs, with a focus on energy transition, during the first five years of operation.
The opening marks the official handover of the Hub from Energy Transition Zone (ETZ), which has led the project's delivery, to North East Scotland College ( NESCol).
The new facility is already providing training for 42 welding students and 27 engineering students this academic year, Insider reports .
