PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A man was shot and killed in southeast Portland along Powell Boulevard early Saturday, according to police.

Shortly after 3:30 a.m., officers with the Portland Police Bureau were called to the area of Southeast Powell Boulevard and Southeast 130th Avenue after reports of a shooting.

Police found a man dead at the scene. He was identified Monday as 32-year-old Cesar Alejandro Cuevas-Morales, from Venezuela.

The medical examiner confirmed Cuevas-Morales died from gunshot wounds.

Any suspects left the area before officers arrived, and police have not yet arrested anyone.

While detectives investigated, Southeast 130th Avenue was closed between Southeast Powell Boulevard and Southeast Rhone Street.
