CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Being a Panthers fan is kind of like riding on a rollercoaster. One week, it’s a blowout win, the next, a blowout loss.

That’s why one Charlotte restaurant, known for its humorous sports-related signage, changes its display every Monday for the Panthers.

On Monday, Sept. 29, Dilworth Neighborhood Grille’s most recent memo referenced Carolina’s blowout loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday.

“At least our punter can tackle,” the sign read.

For those unfamiliar with the inside joke, Panthers punter Sam Martin could be seen making a touchdown-saving tackl e during a New England punt return.
