WATFORD CITY, N.D. — Two passengers died in a crash Sunday morning, Sept. 28, south of Watford City, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

According to a release from the patrol, at 8:30 a.m., a 2013 Ford Fusion was southbound on Highway 85, nearing the intersection with 23rd Street Northwest, south of Watford City. At the same time, a 2006 Peterbilt truck pulling a trailer was eastbound on 23rd Street Northwest, approaching the intersection.

The Peterbilt “disregarded the posted stop sign and struck the passenger side of the Ford Fusion in a T-bone collision,” the release said. Both vehicles ended up in the southeast ditch.
