Augusta residents can expect some rain this week in the forecast, but impacts from Tropical Storm Imelda and Hurricane Humberto will be minimal.

“The latest trends in the official forecast have Imelda continuing to move north through the ... Bahamas today,” said Hunter Coleman, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Columbia, South Carolina. “By tonight and during the day tomorrow, it’s going to take a right turn further out to sea, away from the coast.”

Coleman said Hurricane Humberto is having an impact on Imelda.
