GREENVILLE, S.C. —

The newly identified suspect in the killings of four teenage girls in an Austin, Texas, yogurt shop in 1991 is the same man authorities say was responsible for the violent rape and murder in Greenville in 1990 .

On Friday, authorities announced DNA evidence identified Robert Eugene Brashers as a suspect in the Texas killings.

Texas murders:

The killings happened on Dec. 6, 1991, at an “I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt!” shop in Austin.

Around closing time, investigators say, someone entered the store through the back door and attacked four teens before setting the building on fire.
