If you’ve got corn dogs or sausage-on-a-stick products tucked away in your freezer, it might be time to check the label. Hillshire Brands, a company under Tyson Foods, has issued a massive recall – we’re talking about 58 million pounds of food – after reports that pieces of wood were found in the batter.
What Products Are Being Recalled?
The recall includes certain packages ( see the labels here ) of State Fair Corn Dogs on a Stick and Jimmy Dean Pancakes & Sausage on a Stick. According to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), several consumers have already reported injuries, which prompted the company to act “out of an abundance of caution.”
