There’s been a shake-up in the WPIAL Class 4A girls soccer rankings. Peters Township (7-1-2) has dropped three spots to No. 4 after its 2-1 loss to previously unranked North Allegheny (9-2-2) in a non-section match played Thursday.

The loss allows Seneca Valley (7-2-2) and Pine-Richland (10-1-1) to move up and take over the top two spots, while North Allegheny (9-2-2) moves into the No. 3 spot.

The rankings could change again this week, as Pine-Richland has home matches with North Allegheny on Monday and Seneca Valley on Wednesday.

In Class 2A, Mount Pleasant (9-3-1) dropped three spots to No. 5 after a 1-0 double-overtime loss to Freeport (10-1) on Saturday.
