Victim of violent assault near Camp Randall dies, homicide investigation underway

MADISON (WKOW) -- The victim of a violent assault near Camp Randall Stadium has died.

UW-Madison police say the victim died from injuries sustained during the attack.

Authorities say the attack happened on September 20 around 2 a.m. They say it was unprovoked and targeted.

UWPD is now recommending the suspect, Keith Jones, be charged with first-degree intentional homicide.
