Major General Paul Owuor Otieno, Commander of the Kenya Navy, is on an official visit to India from September 28 to October 2, 2025, aimed at enhancing bilateral maritime cooperation and deepening India-Kenya naval ties.
On Monday, Major General Otieno was received by Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, at South Block Lawns in New Delhi, where he was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour. The two sides discussed a broad spectrum of maritime collaboration, including operational coordination, training exchanges, hydrographic engagements, and the conduct of the multilateral exercise AIKEYME. They also reviewed initiatives under the India-Kenya “BAHARI” Maritime Vision. During the visit, Major General Otieno paid homage to India’s fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at the Na
