EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Hudson River Valley Greenway closed a portion of the Albany-Hudson Electric Trail in East Greenbush on Monday, town officials announced. The section from Elliot Road to Route 4 is expected to be closed for around three weeks to allow construction crews to perform maintenance on a hill that has eroded near the trail.

East Greenbush Police confirmed that a signed, one-block detour will be established from Elliot Road to Iroquois Place, and on to Route 4. Anyone passing through the area is advised to use caution while repairs are underway.
