J.K. Rowling turned her simmering feud with Emma Watson into a new culture-war battleground after the Harry Potter actress spoke out about their strained relationship.
The Harry Potter author criticized Watson on X for her privilege, writing, “Emma has so little experience of real life she’s ignorant of how ignorant she is.”
Rowling fumed that the 35-year-old actress has “never experienced adult life uncushioned by wealth and fame,” before launching into the anti-trans rhetoric that turned so many of the series’ fans against her.
