GRANDVILLE, Mich. — Grandville Public Schools (GPS) has canceled their Monday afternoon school bus transportation services due to a bomb threat, school officials say.
Grandville police say the district received an email around 11:19 a.m. saying that a bomb was placed on a Grandville school bus. Investigators say the email service used is from out of the country and is anonymous.
Out of an abundance of caution, afternoon school bus services have been canceled. Each bus will be inspected and cleared by law enforcement, according to Superintendent Roger Bearup.
All students who usually ride the bus will need to be picked up Monday. If you have a child at GPS and cannot pick them up, you're asked to contact their school's office.
