Election Day is coming up on November 4th and Roosevelt City has shared their Sample Ballot. Citizens will have the opportunity to vote for Mayor and up to 2 City Council members. Also on the ballot is Proposition #16 regarding the “ZAP” tax which is scheduled to expire this December. The Proposition asks citizens if Roosevelt City will be authorized to continue the ZAP tax which is a 0.1% sales and use tax for the purpose of funding recreational facilities located within Roosevelt City as well as ongoing operating expenses of recreational facilities. These include publicly owned or operated parks, campgrounds, playgrounds, athletic fields, gymnasiums, swimming pools, and trails, among other allowed uses.
