KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A man has been indicted after a shooting involving a 15-year-old female on July 14.

Larry Chapman III was involved in a shooting in the Jefferson area of Kanawha County after investigators said he shot the teenager.

Deputies said Chapman III became angry at the teenager during a domestic-related incident and pulled out a gun, shooting her in the chest.

Chapman III was arraigned on July 15 after turning himself in to the Charleston Police Department.

Chapman III is now indicted on charges of attempted murder, wanton endangerment, use or presentment of a firearm during the commission of a felony, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, breaking and entering an automobile, and petit larceny.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 16 at 1:30 p.m
