QUINCY, Fla. (WCTV) - The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office ended the perimeter Monday afternoon for a man who “was being loaded for transport after court and ran from a Bailiff Deputy” while in cuffs, according to the sheriff’s office.
Additionally, a warrant, along with an escape charge, has been issued for Cedric Butler, who “was not in custody but reported to court on charges, just before running from the deputy upon transport after the judge remanded him to custody,” the sheriff’s office told WCTV. Court records revealed Butler had a court hearing around 8:30 a.m.
He is wanted for failure to appear for aggravated battery, escape, and possession of a controlled substance, per the sheriff’s office.
