TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Friday kicked off parent weekend on the highest of seven hills, and thousands of fans, students and their parents packed the stadium for FAMU’s home game on Saturday.
One family came all the way from Tampa, Florida.
“Coming out for parent weekend, I was super excited. The weather kept us away last year, and being that this is my daughter’s senior year nothing was keeping me away,” one mom said.
Caneisha Molina came with her two young daughters to visit their older sister, who is a senior at FAMU.
Molina said she loves the energy and community on campus, and she was excited for a fun weekend with her girls.
“Being a part of the culture and the experience, seeing the band we were able to actually watch them practice yesterday.”
