Kevin De Bruyne was visibly frustrated after being taken off during Napoli's defeat to AC Milan on Sunday.
However, the midfielder has been sent a stern warning by manager Antonio Conte over his response to the decision.
De Bruyne was withdrawn in the 72nd minute as part of a triple substitution by Conte with Napoli chasing an equaliser.
The Belgian had earlier pulled a goal back from the penalty spot at the San Siro.
It followed a red card for Milan's Pervis Estupinan which forced the hosts to play the final 30 minutes with ten men.
De Bruyne was not part of Napoli's late push for an equaliser and the 34-year-old could be seen gesturing towards the Italian on the touchline as he left the pitch.
