GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Georgetown County authorities are searching for a possible armed suspect.

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office said Monday it was investigating a call regarding a man with a gun at Santee Cooper’s Winyah Generating Station at Steam Plant Drive.

Officials said they had received “confirmed reports that a contractor brandished a weapon and fled the scene.”
