An attorney for the Washington City man accused of killing political activist Charlie Kirk asked the judge for more time to review a substantial amount of evidence before determining whether the defense will seek a preliminary hearing.
Tyler James Robinson, 22, has been charged with aggravated murder, two counts of obstruction of justice and felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, two counts of witness tampering and commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child.
During the hearing held at 4th District Court in Utah County on Monday, Robinson appeared via audio only. Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray appeared on behalf of the state, along with prosecutors Lauren Hunt, Ryan McBride and Chris Ballard, who will serve as co-counsel.
Robinson was represented
