SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) - A sinkhole has closed a portion of Route 718 in Sharon.

According to PennDOT, traffic is closed from Silver Street to Marshall Avenue due to the formation of a sinkhole near Lincoln Street in the City of Sharon, Mercer County.

Route 718 will remain closed until repairs can be made to the utility line beneath the roadway as well as to the roadway itself.

A detour is posted using Clark Street, Route 518, and State Street.
